Optimize Performance

Target 2 Zero optimizes performance by pruning details of past performance. We often store memories like a short movie clip, especially when it was a negative experience. For example if your team lost a championship game when you were in high school you may remember every detail from this event because the stakes were so high. These details may be negatively effecting your current performance by having you step slightly to the right when you really need to be landing on the center of your foot. This is easily corrected with Target 2 Zero.
Since every team member may be storing information in this way that may be negatively effecting current performance, the overall team performance improves when the entire team receives the benefit of Target 2 Zero.

SLong Distance Runner

Speed was not my goal in doing Target 2 Zero with Scarlett, however it is definitely a bonus. I am running my morning route 4 minutes faster. I no longer slow down towards the end of the "finish line."

How can Target 2 Zero improve the overall performance of my team?

The details of past experience can affect us negatively, especially when the stakes are high. This is a subtle process that most people are not aware of.

In helping individuals and teams to reconsolidate memories of past and present adverse events, I have learned a great deal about how our brains work. I want to pass this information along so that both you and your team can improve performance and outcomes.

Here is a scenario that will explain how our brain works. Julian experienced a tough event in life. In middle school, Julian played travel soccer. During the championship game of his eighth-grade year, he missed a penalty kick and his team lost. This memory bothers Julian a lot although he never really thinks about it. If you asked Julian if this bothered him he would probably shake it off and at first say no. However, if you gave him a moment, he might give it further thought and say that it bothers him a lot. If this is bothering him this means that his brain is storing this memory like a short film with subtle details that can negatively affect his current performance. For example, the color of the player’s jerseys, the humidity level that day, and the sound that his foot made as he was approaching the shot could all be stored as threat. When his brain is storing these details as threat this causes subtle symptoms and negatively affects performance.

For example, Julian’s coach notices that every time Julian practices penalty shots he always comes in a little too strong on the left. Although both Julian and his coach are trying hard to correct this movement, nothing is working. No problem, since this memory is stored as bothersome all that needs to be done to improve this particular movement is to reconsolidate the eighth-grade memory with Target to Zero and it would only take 5- 20 minutes of Julian’s time.

How can overall team performance be improved with Target 2 Zero?

Each team member may be storing one to ten bothersome memories that can be negatively affecting current performance. No problem, we just reconsolidate these memories with Target 2 Zero. This is a fast process that only takes 1-2 hours of the team’s time.

How will I know if this has improved my team’s performance? Ask individual team members what they notice as different, watch for subtle to knock it out of the ball park improvements, and track the data. If you are looking for a competitive advantage you may want to consider reconsolidating memories with Target 2 Zero to improve the team’s performance. The mind-body connection is more powerful than we have traditionally given it credit for. Consider Target 2 Zero to Improve Performance.
